Taylor Perkins

With over 300mm in syndications and over 3000 units repositioned under his management, Taylor has worked through multiple development cycles in some of the nations best-performing markets. Founding 37urban in 2015, Perkins grew the company to Nashville and Middle Tennessee as one of the primary markets to focus his team and investors on for a development cycle. In just 24 months and with over 150 million in syndications completed since July of 2017, year-over-year volume growth of over 500% annually since its inception, and average IRR’s topping 80%, Perkins and his team successfully exited their best acquisition cycle in the history of the company in 2021. Currently focusing on Opportunity Zone opportunities and micro apartment development projects, Perkins has grown the company’s acquisition efforts to the east coast markets in the wake of Covid-19 with over $50mm in distressed asset acquisitions along the northeast sea coast. He has eyed 2022 and 2023 as massive acquisition years for the company, and intends to acquire more than half a billion in assets along the east coast over 18 months.
Born and raised in Texas, Perkins’ first real estate that he ever purchased was a 12-unit multifamily project that he converted in to condos. He has a passion for hospitality, multifamily, & adaptive re-use projects and has worked with some of the nations largest multifamily REIT’s and investment groups.
Sonny Perkins

L.F. “Sonny” Perkins is the father of Founder and Chief Executive Officer Taylor Perkins. In 2015, he and Taylor started facilitating multifamily development projects together through their family business 37urban, which was started in 2015. Through multiple repositioning projects, they set out to create a new blended multifamily/hospitality company bringing the nuance of hospitality in to multifamily projects. Working with Taylor through a variety of residential/commercial/multifamily projects they did together spanning from Austin to Nashville, TN, they began acquiring in southern Maine in 2020 with The York Beach Surf Club and an assemblage of a residential portfolio.
Helping to identify the target markets, Sonny sits in an operational and advisory role in 37urban, spearheading investment projects and asset acquisitions alongside Taylor.
Sonny has over $4bn in project management experience in all asset classes, from hotels and bed and breakfasts to oil refineries, high-rise parking structures, and even the Bolivia Brazil Pipeline. He has sat with some of the most influential dignitaries throughout Latin America to negotiate world-changing opportunities for countries in South America with the United States, and has visited over 70 countries over six continents in his lifetime (hoping to check off the last in the next few years). He continues to represent the Perkins family in New England through various charitable organizations he works through and with, and is Chairman of the Board of the Perkins Family Charitable Trust.
